Congratulations! Nova's Hong Kong general agent once again won the Kowloon Bus AdBlue® supply contract

2016-04-07

NovaX's general agent in Hong Kong, Kingrich (H. K.) Limited, and The Kowloon Motor Bus Company Limited, have recently signed a supply contract for AdBlue® catalyst reducing agent (vehicle urea solution). The total supply in 2016 will reach 5,000 IBCs. (KL). In addition to the original supply contract with Hong Kong Citybus, as well as other bus and truck operators, NOVAX AdBlue® has a market share of over 45% in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong follows the EU's lead and adopts EU standards for exhaust emissions. In the past few years, the Hong Kong authorities have introduced low-polluting fuels and implemented stricter exhaust emission standards, which have greatly reduced exhaust pollution caused by vehicles. All major franchised bus companies in Hong Kong are following the EU emission standards by purchasing new buses and developing exhaust gas catalytic technology to reduce emissions and meet higher emission standards. Hong Kong and Kowloon Bus regularly issue press releases to promote its exhaust emission treatment technology and environmental protection achievements. Hong Kong Citybus launched the Blue Sky Plan in 2007 to comprehensively improve bus emission quality.

Nova has signed a distribution contract with Hong Kong Qifu since 2008. It has already had a foresight on the emission reduction and purification of diesel engines and jointly operates the Hong Kong market. The main suppliers are Kowloon Bus (KMB) and Hong Kong Citybus (Citybus). Their operating routes cover almost all of Hong Kong. They are currently the two largest city buses in Hong Kong. Nova Chairman Yang Lianzhi said that the air pollution caused by diesel engines cannot be underestimated, and he is honored to grow together with the Hong Kong market. Looking to the future, the demand for AdBlue® in the Hong Kong market will continue to be booming.

Nova is the first company in Taiwan to invest in the production and manufacturing of AdBlue ®.
