Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-can presided over the epidemic prevention project meeting this morning (26th) and said that due to the impact of the epidemic, some large-scale events planned by the city government have been canceled. As the epidemic situation slows down, they can gradually resume from March. He also requested all city government bureaus to make pragmatic adjustments and resume operations according to the plan. In addition, in response to the revitalization work after the Spring Festival, the Economic Development Bureau will launch a consumption revitalization plan in various business districts, traditional markets and markets, allowing more citizens to return to traditional markets and business districts as the epidemic gradually eases. As for group travel, the city government will continue to cooperate with tourism operators, and also plans subsidy programs such as independent travel for individual tourists, hoping to attract more people to Taoyuan sightseeing.
 
Mayor Zheng also said that in addition to the revitalization plans for business districts and markets, the city government is also planning a subsidy program for schools at all levels to go to leisure farms for outdoor teaching. The principle will be a subsidy of 10,000 yuan per tour bus to encourage students to participate in environmental education, food and agriculture education and agricultural tourism experiences. It is hoped that through a series of revitalization plans, Taoyuan will show stronger vitality after the epidemic.
