Nova Materials Technology, which celebrates its 20th anniversary, recently held its 115th annual shareholders' meeting, during which proposals such as the 114th annual financial statements, earnings distribution, director re-election and amendments to the company's articles of association were passed. In 2014, the revenue reached NT$548 million, an increase of 25.72% over the previous year, setting one of the outstanding performances in the past years. It was decided to allocate a cash dividend of NT$1.07 per share and a capital reserve of NT$0.43 in cash, for a total cash allocation of NT$1.50 per share. The company also simultaneously revealed the next stage of development strategy, using AI, circular economy and global market layout as the three major directions of future growth momentum, officially starting the next twenty-year growth blueprint.
AI and circular economy twin engines expand global market layout
Nova, which has been deeply involved in automotive urea (AdBlue®), industrial urea and SCR emission control solutions for many years, has continued to invest in digital applications such as smart logistics and IoT management systems in recent years, and has actively expanded the markets in India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia to strengthen the international market layout of MIT products. At the same time, the company has officially promoted the "Blue Sky and Green Land Project", investing in large-scale waste mattress recycling technology, establishing a complete recycling model from recycling, material regeneration to high-value product development, and planning to develop recycled sound-absorbing panels, green building materials and recycled materials, hoping to create a new business model with both economic value and environmental benefits.
AI R&D joins hands with industry and academia to expand global cooperation opportunities
In addition to continuing to deepen its core material technology, Nova is also actively deploying AI applications. It is expected to establish an AI joint research center with National Central University in the third quarter of this year, focusing on the research and development of smart health, senior companionship platforms and AI application technologies, promoting the commercialization of scientific research results through industry-university cooperation, and cultivating cross-field AI talents. In addition, the company will also join hands with Indian industrial raw material platform partners to expand the South Asian market this year, and will continue to participate in important international exhibitions in Europe and Asia to expand overseas cooperation and exchanges.
Looking forward to the future, Chairman Yang Lianzhi said that Nova will continue to uphold the core values of "sharing good things, leading the way, recycling and sustainability", moving from "clean air" to "smart life", taking AI technology, circular economy and global layout as the main development axis, working with industry and academic partners to promote technological innovation, expand international cooperation opportunities, continue to deepen global market layout, and promote the sustainable development of smart technology and circular economy.
