NOVAX ranks first in the commercial vehicle exhaust emission SCR catalyst reducing agent industry. The company's Nova Automotive Urea Solution (AdBlue®) has a well-established global distribution system and strong demand. In July last year, the overall shipment volume reached a record high of 1,583 tons (1,725 metric tons). The main contributions came from Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan itself.
←Speech by Yang Lianzhi, Chairman of Novavax
Nova chairman Yang Lianzhi pointed out at the end of the year banquet that in 2014, driven by the strong demand from the bus sector and Euro V trucks (Nova's share in the passenger transport industry exceeded 75%), shipments reached a record high of 570 units, which also made Nova's automotive urea solution (AdBlue® )'s overall market share rebounded to 40%, widening the gap ahead of other brands. At the same time, due to weak demand and falling prices for international urea raw materials, Nova's profits increased significantly, especially with the support of the South American and Japanese markets, and the launch of Nova's global green channel "Superior grade urea-Nova's high-quality urea" in Kaohsiung, pushing the overall revenue to reach a milestone in 2014.
Yang Lianzhi pointed out that Nova is the first company in Taiwan to put into production and manufacturing, and it is also the only company with dual certifications of QMC and American Petroleum Institute API from the German Automobile Industry Association VDA. It has established 13 distribution points around the world, reaching Dubai in the east, the West Coast of the Americas in the west, Japan in the north, and Australia and South America in the south. It can be said that its global services can be seen everywhere. Because diesel is highly efficient and cheaper than gasoline, many large-scale vehicles such as passenger cars, freight trucks, airplanes, and armored vehicles use diesel as fuel. However, due to its high impurities, it easily produces soot after combustion. Therefore, many automobile companies are focusing on reducing diesel pollution. Many European countries have started to do so since 2006. Diesel vehicles are required to be equipped with SCR catalytic converters before they can go on the road. In view of the nitrogen oxide (NOx) pollution in diesel and the ultra-fine suspended particles after combustion, which are far more harmful to the human body than automobile engines, countries including Taiwan have stipulated that diesel engines must be equipped with particulate filters. This has also led Nova to develop automotive urea solutions. (AdBlue®) is a reducing agent to neutralize nitrogen oxides in diesel exhaust. In order to facilitate consumers to purchase, Nova's automotive urea solution (AdBlue®) supply base provides multi-channel sales (small packages can be purchased at major gas stations). Yang Lianzhi emphasized that the automotive urea solution (AdBlue®) produced by ) adopts a high-purity filtration system to purify urea raw materials and prepare and synthesize it with deionized water. It has passed the DIN70070/ISO22241 standard and passed the SGS inspection in Germany and Australia. In addition, it has also obtained API certification from the American Petroleum Institute and is the first qualified manufacturer in the Asia-Pacific region to pass the VDA QMC certification standard.
