Bringing the World of Performing Arts Closer to Rural Schoolchildren

To help cultivate a deeper appreciation for the arts among younger generations, NOVAX Material & Technology Inc. proudly supports the 2025 “Theatre Adventure for Students” program as one of its corporate sponsors. Held at the Taoyuan Arts Center—one of the city’s most prominent professional arts venues—the initiative forms part of the “Iron Rose” brand series promoted by the Taoyuan City Government. This cultural branding effort includes a diverse range of activities, such as music and arts festivals, youth theatre training, and educational outreach programs. Collectively, these initiatives reach nearly one million participants annually, expanding access to the arts across all age groups.

Organized by the Taoyuan City Department of Cultural Affairs, the 2025 “Theatre Adventure for Students” program prioritizes inviting children from rural schools to experience live theatre performances and engage directly with professional performing arts. This year’s program ran from May 20 to June 19 and featured eight performances across two major venues: the Taoyuan Arts Center and Zhongli Arts Hall. With performances ranging from dance and musicals to children's theatre and zither-based theatrical collaborations, the program attracted enthusiastic participation from local students.

Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-Tsan highlighted during the press conference that since its launch in 2013, the program has welcomed over 60,000 students into the theatre. In 2025, the initiative expanded to include off-campus cultural experience tours, taking students to the National Theater and National Concert Hall in Taipei. This addition provided a comprehensive journey of appreciation, learning, and exploration—deepening young audiences’ exposure to arts and culture.

As a pioneer in ESG practices in Taiwan, NOVAX has long been committed to promoting environmental sustainability and educational development. Chairman Nicholas Yang stated, “A truly sustainable future stems not only from green innovation but also from cultural enlightenment. We are proud to help children plant seeds of curiosity, imagination, and respect through theatre. This is how corporate social responsibility becomes real and meaningful.”

NOVAX will continue to support educational and cultural initiatives, integrating art, science, and sustainability to inspire future generations and create a more enriching and enlightened learning environment.
