Lights-Off for 1 Hour: NOVAX Responds to Environmental Protection
NOVAX Material Technology responds to "Earth Hour" and kicks off the establishment of "ESG Sustainable Development Office"!
Earth Hour was launched in 2004 by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Australia, and more than 172 countries and more than 7,000 cities have responded so far. Starting in August this year, NOVAX has also join in on responding to Earth Hour. Taking place at NOVAX headquarters, in Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City, the office will turn off non-essential electric lights of the company for one hour starting from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. every day. By taking the lead, NOVAX hopes to appeal to more people the concept of energy saving.
NOVAX has been a key AdBlue vendor (Automotive Grade Urea water) for 16 years. “Cleaning Air is Our Mission” is NOVAX’s corporate philosophy from the very beginning, and NOVAX has always been an indispensable presence in the domain of environmental protection. This simple action of turning off the lights for 60 minutes calls on all walks of life to stand up to climate change and environmental protection issues, so that energy conservation and carbon reduction are no longer just slogans.
Also in 2022, NOVAX officially established the "ESG Sustainable Development Office" to amplify the original ESG “genes” in NOVAX’s corporate culture. In addition to continuing to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel vehicles, it plans to promote more environmentally friendly strategies in the future. With "carbon reduction and sustainability" as the core, we together can create a better living environment.
"ESG Sustainable Development Office" has the President of NOVAX, Nicholas (Nano) Yang, to hold a concurrent post as the Sustainable Chief Executive Officer. He personally will lead the company to implement ESG goals one by one, and hopes to call on colleagues and partners to jointly advocate environmental protection through corporate influence. At this moment, together with NOVAX, let us also join in on turning off our lights and saving energy, giving the earth one hour of breathing time every day, and with our concerted efforts, we can move towards the corporate goal of sustainable development.
